We specialize in extremely thin and delicate castings made from the "direct burn-out" process as refined by sculptor Harry Geffert at his Green Mountain Foundry. Unique castings are created by forming a ceramic mold around an artist's original work which is made out of a combustible material such as wood, paper or fabric. The artwork is then burned away, leaving a void to be filled by molten bronze.
We are also skilled in the more traditional methods of lost-wax casting in which a wax duplicate of the artist's work is invested in a ceramic mold and then melted away, leaving a hollow ceramic shell that will capture every surface detail of the original in the cast bronze surface.
